When looking to add a new bathroom to your home or re-design your existing space, there are many considerations to make. Upon searching for your future shower enclosure, you may have identified the multiple variations and styles available on the market. This range of options is ideal for you to be able to finish your bathroom to the exact specification you're looking for, with the finish you desire. From quadrant to bi-fold, hinged to pivot, sliding to standard, there are multiple ways in which you can make your shower enclosure feel unique to your bathroom.
When looking to buy from Prestige, you will be able to select from a pivot door, sliding door, double door quadrant, single door quadrant, frameless 4-fold bath screen and a P-shape sliding bath screen - amongst additional new ranges being added all the time. Their semi-frameless shower enclosures are all made using high-quality 8mm toughened safety glass. For their bath screen range, these are made from 6mm toughened safety glass and slide around the showering area as a stylish and easy to access solution.
The quality is second-to-none, with polished silver surrounds providing a stylish edge and finishing touch. Whether you have a bath or shower, there's an option for either. All of their products come with a lifetime guarantee, meaning you're protected for every eventuality.
They all come with a Clean & Clear easy clean glass treatment, contemporary handles (if required) and fully concealed fittings to ensure minimal disruption to the design of your space. They also have colour-matched soft close for the door seals, and you can make the door reversible depending on whether you require a left or right-hand opening.
For a premium finish in your house, Prestige Frameless is a great option. These frameless shower enclosures live up to the brand name but also offer a high specification finish. Designed to last a lifetime, they are made from 8mm toughened safety glass. You will, as before, have access to a lifetime guarantee and Clean & Clear easy clean glass treatment. The handle colour and style varies for each design, but the fixings are all fully concealed with colour-matched soft closes on the door seals.
You can choose between a frameless sliding door, frameless sliding door and side panel, frameless single door, frameless hinge door, frameless hinge door and side panel, or wet-room glass - amongst other designs. These come with the option for either clear or smoked glass, adding another layer of design choice.
Another stylish shower enclosure solution is provided by Identiti, who have a comprehensive and diverse range that is made from glass between 6mm and 8mm in thickness. Their options include a sliding door, bow-fronted slider, single door quadrant, double door quadrant, bow-fronted quadrant, U-shaped quadrant, hinge door, bi-fold and extended door, pivot door, wet-room with side panel, wet-room with return panel, inline panels, and wet-room with floor to ceiling post - amongst other new designs.
As with the Prestige ranges, these shower enclosures come with toughened safety glass, a lifetime guarantee, and Clean & Clear easy clean glass treatment. They also have stylish polished silver edges, quick release rollers as required, and stylish handles (where needed). They additionally have fully concealed fixings for a high-quality finish and colour-matched soft close door seals. Again, you can also reverse the direction that the door opens to either left or right depending on your requirements.
Unless you are particularly restricted by the space that your shower is in, it can often be challenging to know which shower enclosure to choose, and what each one offers as a benefit.
Quadrant: You can either opt for a single-door or double-door with the quadrant design. This is typically used when your shower is positioned in the corner in a curved shape. The doors open around the edge of the shower enclosure, not taking up any room in the process.
Bi-fold: These are typically used when a shower cubicle is a square shape. It will have two glass panels (if it is positioned in the corner where the other two sides are walls). One of these panels is a door that has a fold in the middle. The door folds in on itself when pushed or pulled, essentially creating half a door to one side. This is ideal when space is limited.
Hinged: This door is similar to a bi-fold door but is positioned on hinges rather than opening seamlessly from the edge of the wall. One of these panels is a door that opens outwards like a normal door would. It has a handle and can be pushed or pulled accordingly. It is important there is enough space for this type of design.
Pivot: This is another way of referring to a hinged shower door, and essentially pivots from two hinged points to open outwards. It doesn't necessarily pivot from the edge of the frame though and could have its pivot points on the top and bottom instead of at the side.
Sliding: As the name suggests, this door slides open. It is ideal in a larger space, particularly where the shower is a double frame and there is enough room for the door to slide open in one space. Typically it will slide in front or behind the other half of the door panel. This is a great option when space is at a premium as the door remains within the shower enclosure.
