wedi Joint Reinforcement Tape

Wedi offer the market leading bathroom tanking product, as well as soundproofing, walk-in waterproofing, shower trays, wetroom and bathroom building systems. The only limit is your imagination with Wedi, their extensive building tools allow you to create a huge range of shapes and spaces, shelves and cavities for tiling. All sorts of building challenges can be met with Wedi, if you need additional height off the floor for your Fundo tray, for example, use a plinth set which raises up the Fundo tray base. Wooden floor? No problem, opt for the Fundo Ligno shower base. Simply get in touch with Wedi technical or drop us an email with your requirements and we can help you with which products you will need to build with Wedi.

The main product for building with Wedi is the Wedi building board, this Wedi joint reinforcement tape is a special fibre tape designed for reinforcement and bridging of Wedi building board butt joints (where the material meets at a butt – flat edge to edge). It strengthens and reinforces the joint, strengthening the board and the overall build.

The Wedi joint reinforcement tape is an alkali resistant glass fibre, reinforced fabric material, designed to be tough and tear proof. White in colour it comes in rolls of 25m x 12.5cm. Choose from either normal tape or a self-adhesive version which saves you time on installation. We recommend you follow the Wedi fitting instructions, please see the guide video below.
