love the unusual design to the whole look but especially the bowl
Looks good and performs well as a toilet. Unlike many modern toilets if flushes successfully every time. The quick flush is a nice water saving feature. The cistern fills quickly and quietly.
Perfect for what we needed. Fits nice on our toilet.
Close coupled toilets with fluted bases help create a Victorian toilet style. Whilst ones a little more square in style, like the Imperial Westminster range, create an art deco feel. They have exposed cisterns that are coupled to the pan. They look especially authentic with a lever handle but can be purchased with a push button for modern convenience.

Although your new toilet will be Victorian in appearance you can incorporate modern technology to make your life easier! We would recommend looking for a toilet with easy clean technology such as Burlington’s Nanoglaze. Or even Villeroy and Boch’s renowned CeramicPlus coating. Villeroy and Boch manufacture the Hommage range. A lovely traditional range featuring a close coupled traditional toilet. It can be installed with other pieces in this range to create a traditional Victorian Bathroom look. Ceramic plus comes as standard.

Close coupled toilets can work in small spaces as shorter projection pans are available. For example Burlington make a slim line toilet to save on space. This is available with their latest Rimless technology. The cistern depth is slimmer on this version, saving in depth and ideal for use in cloakroom bathrooms. This would be nicely paired with a matching cloakroom basin.

The base of your traditional toilet is referred to as the pan and the top section which holds the water is the cistern. The advantage of having your traditional toilet in a close coupled style is primarily access to the cistern. Removing the lid of the cistern for maintenance or adding freshener blocks is simple. High level and low level toilet cisterns are more difficult to access.
